About FIS

Concerned about a child now?
Cornwall's Family Information Service (FIS) is a free and impartial support service. It gives information on local services for children and young people. It is for children aged 0-19 years (up to 25 years with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, SEND). Children and their families can use this site to find childcare and things to do. 
📅 Applications for 2027 school places are now open

Infant/Primary School
Parent and carers of children born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023 can now apply for an Infant/primary school place for September 2027.
Applications close on 15th January 2027

In Cornwall we want to know about your childcare needs, what choices you have and what provision you are choosing. We want to understand whether or not you are able to find the childcare that you need for your children. We also want to hear your thoughts about the quality of the childcare you are choosing.
