Helston Pride Picnic 

Details: Helston Picnic Pride is back for 2026! Organised by Helston Town Council, this free afternoon at Coronation Park celebrates our local LGBTQIA+ community with live music, free crafting, local acts and support groups.

Golowan Festival

Details: Golowan is an annual 10-day festival of events that culminates in a street festival on the last weekend in June where thousands attend a spectacle of giant wicker models paraded through the town, street performances, street music, theatre, and the Golowan live music and DJ Marquee. This annual event is much loved and is the biggest event in the calendar for this southwest Cornish community. It is a 35-year revival festival of the Feast of St. John and the midsummer solstice that is delivered by the whole community and has grown into one of the biggest street festivals in South England.

Art Afternoons: Beautiful brooches

Storytale Studio - Monthly Family Crafts

Details: Did you know Kresen Kernow is home to the largest collection of books about Cornwall?

From history books to picture books and folk tales we have thousands of books that tell us about Cornwall in the past and the present.

Inspired by stories about Cornwall we are running 12 free family craft sessions, happening once a month during 2026. Explore our library through trails, book displays and family activities. The craft sessions will explore different themes and art techniques, such as puppets and book-making. Before each session we will advertise the different themes for each workshop on here and on our social media. All the sessions will be run by artist and workshop facilitator, Sophie Stanley-Butcher from Pop Up Paint Pot.

All sessions are free, drop-in and for all ages. Crafts will be accessible to babies, children and adults.

Camborne's Inflatable Theme park

Helifest 2026  

Details: Welcome to Helifest – our family fun festival celebrating the work of Cornwall Air Ambulance and Cornwall’s other blue light services. Come and see your AW169 helicopter and meet some of your crew. And that’s not all! During the day you can meet your local blue light services where children can explore the various emergency vehicles, watch live demonstrations, listen to fantastic local live music, grab a bite to eat from local Cornish traders, enjoy fairground rides and much more.

Family Help Kerrier Drop in with CAMHS

Details: The following organisations will be attending; 

• The CAMHS Team- The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) 

has a range of support for children and young people and covers the spectrum 

of ages 0 to 18 years old 

• Engagement officer with the Home Education Team 

• Family Information Service- for signposting to what support is available in the 

local area 

• Smarter Smiles Dental Nurse for dental care advice 

• SENDIASS for support and advice if you have a child with SEN needs 

• Pentreath- for signposting to services that can support with adult mental 

health 

• YEP-This project provides help and support for young people aged 16-24 who 

aren't working, in school, or training. 

• Family Help Family Workers and Youth Workers available to chat to 

All welcome, Free of charge, refreshments provided.
