Storytale Studio - Monthly Family Crafts
Details: Did you know Kresen Kernow is home to the largest collection of books about Cornwall?
From history books to picture books and folk tales we have thousands of books that tell us about Cornwall in the past and the present.
Inspired by stories about Cornwall we are running 12 free family craft sessions, happening once a month during 2026. Explore our library through trails, book displays and family activities. The craft sessions will explore different themes and art techniques, such as puppets and book-making. Before each session we will advertise the different themes for each workshop on here and on our social media. All the sessions will be run by artist and workshop facilitator, Sophie Stanley-Butcher from Pop Up Paint Pot.
All sessions are free, drop-in and for all ages. Crafts will be accessible to babies, children and adults.

After School Art
Details: A relaxed and experimental weekly art session for ages 8+
The Art Room after‑school club in Redruth provides a calm, welcoming environment where children can explore art at their own pace. Sessions focus on creative play and experimentation, helping young people grow in confidence while trying out a wide range of materials and techniques. Guidance is offered whenever children want support, but the emphasis is on following their own ideas and developing their individual artistic style.
Each week includes a suggested activity to spark inspiration, though participants are always encouraged to adapt it—or take their projects in entirely new directions.
Sessions are booked half‑termly via the Art Room Redruth website (link below).
