Green Man Weekend - Mount Edgcumbe 

Details: The Green Man event will be back on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May from 10am – 4pm at Mount Edgcumbe. This fantastic family friendly FREE to enter event is back for another year! The Green Man event is a celebration of renewal and the cyclical nature of life.There will be plenty of live music with bands playing throughout the weekend, we also have a delicious selection of food stalls and a refreshment tent at the event offering something for all tastes. There are gift and craft stalls to indulge in a little retail therapy. Plus entertainment for the children with bouncy castles, rides and street entertainers!

Cornish Heritage and Language Trail  

Details: Discover activities inspired by Cornish Heritage and Language around the garden at Cotehele. Keep an eye out around the house and garden for slates with Cornish words and phrases. Why not challenge your friends and family to pronounce the words, and have a go at forming some Cornish sentences.

Family Fun Day Looe

Home education session - The history of toys from around the world     

Details: Join us in person for a fun and interactive journey exploring the history of toys from different countries! These short sessions will give an opportunity for participants to learn about Tom’s journey to becoming an author, find out about his new book, and ask him some questions. He will be accompanied by a member of the central Cornwall Libraries team during every visit. There will be some ‘If the Invader Comes’ posters in delivery that have been given to us by his publishers to use too.

Free Half Term Rockpool Ramble      

Details: FREE Half-Term Rockpool Ramble

Come and join local experts as we explore the rocky shore, you’ll be amazed at what’s waiting to be discovered. Learn about starfish, crabs, fish, anemones and lots more at this educational event that is guaranteed to satisfy and enthrall the whole family. Booking isn’t required for our rockpool rambles, but we do ask that all attendees come along with suitable footwear (no flip flops) and leave their nets at home as they can harm delicate rockpool creatures. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Family Archaeology Sessions - Medieval Seal Matrices        

Details: Discover identity in Medieval Cornwall. What is identity, and what did it mean to people in Medieval Cornwall. Participants will learn about how people in the past would authenticate documents, before ID cards or facial recognition, through a variety of activities tailored to different learning styles.
