Your Role: What will you be doing?

As a minimum Early Years Practitioner Level 3, you’ll be generating experiences that support every child’s unique journey of growth and discovery. Your role will include:
• Planning, creating and reflecting on engaging activities tailored to the individual needs of your key children, ensuring their development is enriched and key milestones are celebrated.
• Building and maintaining strong partnerships with parents and carers, keeping them involved in their child’s progress and fostering open, trust-based communication.
• Ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding, child welfare, protection and health and safety are met in every activity and interaction.
• Collaborating with your team to create a positive, happy and safe environment where children feel secure, valued, and inspired to learn.

Requirements: What are we looking for?
We’re seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who’s ready to make a real difference in children’s lives. You’ll need:
A full and relevant Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification (essential).
• Previous experience working with children, ideally as a nursery practitioner or recently qualified apprentice Level 3.
A passion for creating fun, engaging, and appropriate learning experiences.
• Strong communication skills to build trust and meaningful relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding, child protection and early years legislation and health and safety.
A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to excellence in early years education.

Ensuring the room provides a safe, stimulating, age-appropriate environment, indoors and outdoors.

• A full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential).
Previous experience in an Early Years setting, ideally as a Room Leader or a senior practitioner role.
A deep understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

PORTHLEVEN

Nursery Name: First Steps in Porthleven

First Steps in Porthleven are looking for a committed and caring qualified Early Years Practitioner, who has a compassionate nature, is kind, patient and has a genuine passion for working with young children. We are looking for a practitioner with a sound understanding of the EYFS, who enjoys outdoor learning; experience of supporting children with SEND is desirable but not essential.
