Your Role: What will you be doing?

As a minimum Early Years Practitioner Level 3, you’ll be generating experiences that support every child’s unique journey of growth and discovery. Your role will include:

A full and relevant Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification (essential).
• Previous experience working with children, ideally as a nursery practitioner or recently qualified apprentice Level 3.

• Strong communication skills to build trust and meaningful relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

PENZANCE

Bolitho Nursery

We are currently advertising for a qualified member of staff to join our nursery which was rated Outstanding by Ofsted in January 2025. The contract would be a guaranteed 30 hours per week with opportunity for further hours to cover holiday and sickness, starting ASAP in January 2026.

Minimum Level 3 qualification.

We will not be accepting unqualified applicants for this role as we are already supporting some fantastic apprentices and students.

Our nursery is open Full Year, apart from a two-week closure over the Christmas holidays, a long weekend in the Summer Holidays and we are closed for bank holidays.

We are open 8am-5pm Monday to Friday, and shifts fall within these hours.

First Steps in Porthleven are looking for a committed and caring qualified Early Years Practitioner, who has a compassionate nature, is kind, patient and has a genuine passion for working with young children. We are looking for a practitioner with a sound understanding of the EYFS, who enjoys outdoor learning; experience of supporting children with SEND is desirable but not essential.
