The Role:

Job Details: This is position is offered on a permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week contract.

Falmouth Exeter Plus are seeking to appoint a Nursery Nurse to join the close-knit team at our Nursery at our Penryn campus. Our unique setting provides a warm, nurturing environment and high-quality childcare for children aged 6 months to five years. Ofsted rated ‘Good’, our nurseries are extremely popular and are led by a dedicated team.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team to deliver the daily curriculum in compliance with the Nursery’s standards, policies, and procedures and in line with the requirements of Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage. You will ensure that all daily activities are conducted in a way which provides a happy, stimulating, and secure learning environment for the children.

Salary: £23,810 per annum

Qualifications: The successful candidate for this role will ideally hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent, however candidates possessing a level 2 will also be considered. You should possess previous experience of working with children, a commitment to maintaining high standards of care, confidentiality and initiative, as well as a flexible approach towards working hours.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator with minimum level 2 qualification to join our team in our purpose-built nursery in Perranarworthal. We are a small close-knit team, but due to extended government funding, have further full time positions to fulfil.

We are seeking passionate and caring practitioners to join our team to care for under twos. Our baby room is an open airy space for our youngest members to learn and develop, with motivated and inspirational adults supporting their development and setting up enriching experiences for our littlest ones to play with in a safe environment.
We have access to woodlands for outdoor learning opportunities.

As an Early Years Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow. If you have a love for working with children and are committed to their early development, we encourage you to apply.

Duties:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs for children
- Create a safe and supportive environment that promotes learning and exploration
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Observe and assess children's development and provide feedback to parents
- Collaborate with other educators to develop curriculum plans and learning goals
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early childhood education setting
- A genuine passion for working with young children
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and create a positive learning environment
- Strong leadership skills to guide and inspire children
- Proficiency in English (additional language skills are a plus)
- A relevant qualification in early childhood education or childcare is preferred

Please note that all positions at the nursery are working hours between Monday to Friday, 730-6pm, with monthly evening meetings (once a month).

Your Role: What will you be doing?

As a minimum Early Years Practitioner Level 3, you’ll be generating experiences that support every child’s unique journey of growth and discovery. Your role will include:

Requirements: What are we looking for?

We’re seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who’s ready to make a real difference in children’s lives. You’ll need:
A full and relevant Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification (essential).
Previous experience working with children, ideally as a nursery practitioner or recently qualified apprentice Level 3.
A passion for creating fun, engaging, and appropriate learning experiences.
Strong communication skills to build trust and meaningful relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding, child protection and early years legislation and health and safety.
A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to excellence in early years education.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a passion for early childhood education. This role involves overseeing the Nursery room, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for the children, and fostering their development through engaging activities. The Nursery Room Leader will collaborate with staff, communicate effectively with parents, and maintain high standards of care.

Duties 

  • Lead and manage the Nursery room to provide exceptional care.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote learning and development based on each individual child's needs and interests. 
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery, adhering to safeguarding and health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress.
  • Supervise daily activities, ensuring they are engaging, safe and conducive to learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's development and attendance. 
  • Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership and support for staff members.
  • Assist in training new staff members in nursery procedures and best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential.
  • Previous management or leadership experience within a nursery setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff. Experience working with children is essential.
