Not an attraction, but a working sanctuary in Penryn that spends seven days a week rescuing and rehabilitating donkeys from cruelty, neglect and abandonment. See various local species and appreciate the diversity of local marine wildlife. Money collected from the Mevagissey Aquarium initiative is put towards the maintenance of Mevagissey Harbour. Entry is free but a donation is appreciated. Find out more about the aquarium here.

A children's play area with swings, slides, climbing equipment and sandpits as well as perfect place for small children to cycle and enjoy the open space. If you walk along the river under Pines to Malpas, the footpath goes on and on into the wilds, muddy paths, trees, even a lake if you can find it. Find out the park more here.

Falmouth Lifeboat Station is open to visitors for most of the year, subject to operational requirements. A team of volunteers provide free guided tours of the boats. Find out more about the lifeboat here.
Drop In Youth Café at St Austell Holy Trinity Church. Every Wednesday in term time from 3.30 - 5pm. For years 7-11.
Free Community toddler groups on Thursdays 10:00 - 13:00, based in the heart and soul Café in the wonderful grounds of Newquay Orchard. It's a drop-in style event based primarily outdoors with a different craft each week: toys, games, book swap and access to some wellbeing events for adults run by Newquay orchard. In the centre of Truro, there are all kinds of amazing artefacts and displays from all eras of history, and it’s free for under-18s. Find out more about the Museum here.
The gallery runs regular FREE workshops for a wide range of visitors including families, babies and toddlers, schools and community groups. They particularly welcome visits from special needs groups and adults with additional learning needs. Find out more about the gallery here.

Bring your youngster to explore, sing, dance and play whilst being able to meet other parents. Children interact with the older generations at the care homes, which helps your child's brain development from interaction with all ages.
Some residents don't get visitors so for them this makes their entire week. They get to interact and have cuddles with people. £4 per session. Find out more about bits and bobs here.
