World Book Day Week Celebrations
Details: Join us at Waterstones Truro as we celebrate World Book Day 2026 with a host of fun, entertaining activites for all the family. We are asking you to dress up as a character from your favourite children's book and say hello to our friendly booksellers to be in with the chance of bagging some exciting bookish goodies! We are also hosting a 'Design A Book Cover' craft activity for young, creative bookworms, aged 8+. There will be stickers, stamps and lots of fun things for decoration, as well as prizes for all participants.

St Piran's Day Celebrations Newquay
Details: St Piran’s Day is Cornwall’s national day, celebrated on 5th March with events across Newquay honouring the county’s heritage and its patron saint. Newquay’s celebrations include a family-friendly St Piran’s Trail, where visitors can follow clues around town to solve a Cornish word and claim a prize, plus community activities featuring music, dancing and storytelling.

St Austell St Piran
Details: A free community event to celebrate St Pirantide and all things Cornish
One and all are welcome to join this free community event in St Austell.
In the White Hart Hotel there is Kevrennow – explaining the cultural links between the lands of St Piran and St David. Speakers from 10.45am-1pm and music from 2pm.
There is Cornish Cultural music in Aylmer Square from 10.15am till 3pm.
There will be a procession around St Austell which starts to gather in White River Place at 1pm and we set off at 1.30pm. One and all are welcome to join the procession. Please bring your Cornish flags.
There is a craft fair in the Market House and in Fore Street.

St Piran's Day Parade Truro
Details: Join us in Truro to celebrate the traditional annual St Piran’s Day parade!
Muster on Lemon Quay from 12.30pm, with the parade starting at 1.00pm
The 2026 Parade Route will start on Lemon Quay, taking a longer route around the city centre, finishing outside Truro Cathedral on High Cross. Follow Truro City Council / Visit Truro on Facebook for updates.

St Piran’s Day 2025 Penryn
Details: Saint Piran’s Day is celebrated each year on 5th March as the national day of Cornwall. Saint Piran, or ‘Perran’ as he is also known, is famed for his discovery of the precious metal tin. Saint Piran is the patron saint of tin-miners and Saint Piran’s Day was originally observed as a ‘tinner’s holiday’ by the numerous tin-miners of Cornwall.
